No Better Friend by Robert Weintraub. A true story about "one man, one dog and their extraordinary story of courage and survival in WWII.
The book tells the life of Judy, a pointer, and her life on board boats/ships and as a WWII prisoner of war, the war's only official dog prisoner of war. There is also a lot of information about WWII in the Asian theater.
In the back of the book is the author's "notes" for each chapter. In the very last chapter notes, he refers to canine PTSD and anxiety issues. He references Charles Kelly and his web site: Canine PTSD: Its Causes, Symptoms & Treatment: Treating PTSD With Natural Dog Training Have not had a chance yet to read much of the site but what I read touches on anxiety in dogs due to thunder storms and possible solutions.
The book is well worth reading.
