    Does your dog like baths?

Our 11 year old Nikki has had minor incontinent issues on and off for years. She still has them even though she's being treated but it's fairly rare. Unfortunately, more comes out of her than before and she can be awake when it happens. But she also has back issues so we don't want her getting in and out of the tub very often so we tend to wipe her down when it happens and give her a bath at the end of the day.

I was prepping for a shower and she came in like she normally does. She had had a few episodes earlier and my husband had cleaned her up. I really wanted to wait for her bath because she had gone up the stairs twice today and that's pushing it for her. But she wasn't having any of it. She circled me a few times then pushed me out of the way and jumped in the tub. It was so funny. I guess she was grossing herself out.

Although Maxx gets thoroughly rinsed after swimming he has only had one real bath in 4 years and it was outside. Even so he thinks the bathtub is a mini pool and will jump right in given the chance. He is just a water loving fool!

Summer baths outside on the grass are more fun and better liked than inside in the laundry tub.

No way! Every lab we've had did not like baths but give them any dribble of water outside and they're in it.

I've only every given them a hose bath, which they love. Hose them til good and wet, soap 'em up, the hose 'em off. They love it!

I'm with POPTOP. All I have ever owned would splash in any mud puddle, swim in any water deep enough, but don't want anything to do with a bath tub.

My lab and corgi love water of any sort as long it doesnt involve the tub or soap. They do tolerate a hose bath outside much better than the bath tub

I had forgotten about the hose. Nikki doesn't like it. Maybe I should get a kiddie pool for her though. We got rid of the cracked one and she would probably just roll around in the grass afterward but it would be self serve.

The kiddie pool works great for us. We haven't given Kimber a tub bath since she was a puppy. Even after her skunking, we scrubbed her outside. She hates the hose but with two people involved, it's easy to inflict.
