Do you find it hard to walk away from a pen filled with puppies?

Barney and I went to our local Tractor Supply store to get some more tomato cages for our garden and it turned out to be Pet Adoption Day there. There was a pen filled with puppies and each one just touched my heart. I'm sure that one particular little girl was begging me, with her eyes, to bring her home with me! I find it so hard to walk away from a pen filled with puppies. I always want to bring every one of them home with me so I can give them tons of love and attention.

I can't even look at puppy pictures on here ESPECIALLY when DW is sitting next to me and can see, (which is most of the time)

Sure know what you mean and how you feel Just pics of all the puppies here are dangerous enough. Being a softy who cannot afford two dogs, I religiously avoid all shelters, adoption sites etc. etc. because these places only make me cry and break my heart. Would love to help some of these little orphans, but bringing another pup home is simply out of the question.

For sure I posted about that the other day when I saw the cutest shepeard mix at the pet store that has adoptions every other week. It took a lot of will power to not submit an application.

It kills me when I cant have one! I avoid any situations where puppies are involved or i would be taking home dog number 5. It also makes me crazy when they have the kitty adoptions at Petsmart, little kittens are another big weakness

It tough, but then again I really sit back and say "well do you want to pay the mortgage, or feed the puppies that you constantly are bringing home?" I don't know anyone who doesn't love puppies and kittens. Just have to really look at the real pictures. Wanted to get involved in rabbits, which I did, but you think puppies are tough, just look at those fuzzy faces. But you have to stand strong! Just human instincts to want to help. But unfortunately you can't help them all. Found that out.

I realize the reality of bringing another pup home. So I just go and look, play with one or two, and then leave a donation. But as I walk away I'm always looking over my shoulder for one last look.
Hope all is well and have a great day

It's so hard to see those sweet faces and walk away. I want a puppy so bad.

I already know that if I outlive my husband, I will be the crazy dog lady in the neighborhood! He is the only thing keeping me at two.
