Just found out that Howard Simson and his dog Deuce won the Canadian National Amateur Championship. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy and dog. Deuce is in his retirement season and the last time Howard was here Deuce was sitting quietly beside the club trailer that Howard was putting some logos on. I pulled up and tried to lure Deuce into my car. I thought he was my old girl. Deuce is one of those dog that goes at a steady pace and gets the job done. He now has NAFTCH to add to his long list of titles NFTCH AFTCH FTCH AFTC FTC. Howard said he had entered him for sentimental reasons as this will be Deuce's last year to compete. He has earned his retirement but still will try to get the last point he needs for 100 all age points.
Howard and his partner Lise must be over the moon. I know I am.
