Very nice picture memorial you have there of your lovely lab! Our best friends enter and leave our lives, but the impressions they make on our hearts stay with us forever.

Mike, I have the same feeling about my Cracker. He was my heart dog given to me by God to take care of for six years. Just think of the pleasures and joy Lynn gave you and you gave her. This world is a two way street and you can not give without receiving.
Lynn will ALWAYS be there, deep inside but Mel will make you smile and laugh and have memories.
Blessings to you , Lynn and Mel
Mike

My sentiments exactly; I went to her grave today, just to pay her a kind of tribute, had a shot of brandy, a cigar, spent some time talking to her, remembering all those wonderful moments we shared, and it really helped a lot. I know that I'll never be able to get rid of all those memories, and I don't want to. Mel is an lovable girl. However (?) I really loved, love, and will always love Lynn, she was my heart dog, but I sort of wish I could "have" them both. It sure was the most amazing 14+ years of my life, and I hope she felt the same way. Hopefully it's been the best 730 days for her, I'm just sad that I wasn't there to share her joy.

Hugs to both of you Mikes, Dad of Lynn and Dad of Cracker. It's so very clear how much you both loved your special dogs. There's often one that just fits so well into your life and heart but I'm not sure everybody has that soul deep experience. It can bring tears years later, even if you're loving life with a new companion now. Special thoughts to you today.

Mike, I lost my first Lab Ella, in April of 1994. She was 12, and bone cancer took her. There isn't a day that has gone by in the past 21 years that I haven't thought about her. I miss as much today as the day she passed. The hurt subsides, but never truly leaves you. I've had eight cross the bridge, and I feel the same about each one.
