Unreal.
I was talking to someone I know at the vet's office today and she told me that she doesn't shop at Petco anymore. She said that she took her nine year old daughter to the store and the pretty looking cookies at the dog treat station caught her daughter's attention. Her daughter started asking for a cookie and her mom said no. They were in line to check out and the cashier said that the dog treats that looked like Oreos tasted like vegan treats and she ate them all the time. This ramped up the daughter who now wanted a dog treat that looked like an Oreo. So the cashier reached over and popped one in the girl's mouth.
Can you imagine? Then when the woman complained about the cashier, she told the manager to look at the camera footage and the manager just stated that they didn't have cameras to see what happened. And I don't go there because they don't have anything I want. Seems minor by comparison.
Unreal.
Unbelievable.

Horrible! What if that child had allergies to some ingredient in the "cookie".
I don't go to the local Petco even though they are much closer than the feed store. They will "order in" Fromm for me but it's always out of date or close to.

Good thing I don't have kids. I honestly blame the parent. Control your kid. If they start nagging about the cookies, drop the items and leave the store.

I agree a nine year old should know better. If it was a toddler it'd be different.

I'm an awful person because once I saw the kid was 9, I just laughed.

But, the cashier put the treat in the child's mouth? Didn't hand it to her? Nine years old or not, the cashier was wrong.
I don't know whose weirder, the kid or the cashier.
