    Finally got "fetch" down!

Losing my older lab has been hard, so I've been doing my best to distract myself by playing with Bubba. Here he is at 4.5 months, finally able to fetch pretty well. He's still a little shy around crashing waves but I'm so proud of him!

Bubba is doing great on his retrieves. Looks like a fun place to take your pup. Have you been able to get him to swim yet?

He is pretty goofy looking! His legs and ears seem to be the only part of him that's growing.

Yes but not in very deep water so I don't know his real abilities yet. He wades in the ocean and has swam a bit in a river. I live mostly near the beach though and while he loves the water, he's a wimp and is afraid of the sound of crashing waves. I need to get him to a lake and test him out.

WTG Bubba! He's sure enjoying himself. He'll get used to the sounds and feel of the waves with more practice.

    Thanks for sharing the videos.

They all hit that stage, I think they are adorable! He will grow in to those legs and ears very quickly.

For sure, he will do just fine with time! Try to find a dog he is comfortable playing around with that knows how to swim, throw a stick or bumper into the water and he will follow that dog straight into a lake or pond...

He is at that puppy awkward stage. He is really cute. Good job on getting him to bring the ball back
