I didn't say anything because I didn't want to jinx it. Sam passed his AKC community canine exam today and his therapy dog exam. We had three exhausting days of testing. Last weekend we went through our paces at a community event, visited a fire house where we met a fireman in his full turn out gear, then went to a mall where Sam's biggest challenge was overcoming his fear of the big, bad escalator. We had quite a gathering watching us at the mall and when he finally stepped onto the escalator with no fear, the whole crowd started cheering! Today we went to a nursing home, a library and ate at a restaurant. Sam was awesome! He is now a part of the Northern Virginia Sit Means Sit Caring Angels Therapy Dog team. I'm very proud of my boy!

Congratulations, what a big achievement.
I've never seen a dog on an escalator. Most places have elevators for those in wheelchairs or pushing baby buggies and I always supposed people with dogs used them.
