    Happy new year!

For those who celebrate, happy new year!

first time I'm not cooking but catered in. god only knows how the food is as the store was so disorganized that it made me think of nick's store and how organized they are. and much much busier.

we shall see. warming up soup, kreplach, matzo balls. next goes the chicken, stuffed cabbage, roasted potatoes, roasted brussel sprouts, and noodle pudding. chicken fingers for the kids, health salad that no one will eat but it was that or a choice of jello mold that no one eats either.

funny. my friend myra told me not to throw the salad out, that she would come over for it.
she came to visit me twice in 9 months. and once i met her in the backyard, me walking down two flights because she says she cant walk due to her back. her knees, and her hip. and being obese.

but she can come for the salad.

i think i'll dump it. what do you think?
(how very not happy new year like)

Happy New Year To You and the family.

Know it's not quite the same, but glad you had the meal catered in to give your foot a rest and have more energy for the festivities.

Happy New Year! We were in NYC 2 years ago and the 2nd ave deli was a complete madhouse with everyone trying to pick up their orders before closing. There were so, so many cartons of food waiting for pick up, they were serving lunch, and the place was tiny to start with. My spousal unit wasn't going to leave the city without his deli fix. Catered may not be as good as homemade but think of all the time and energy you've saved for socializing!

As long as your friend comes for the salad or sends someone who can actually come and get it, not make you go up and down steps or meet her half way, I'd let her have it.

    Happy New Year!!

I must be getting mean but I don't think I would give the salad to this "friend".

Happy New Year. Of course the food won't be as good as home made but you will enjoy it anyway, all the compliments about how much better your own is will be worth it.
