It finally happened and Dodger is so happy

They finally opened a dog park right near my house. It has been open for 2 days and so far we have been there both days. Dodger is beside himself with joy. And he is so tired when we get back that he doesn't drive us crazy with his need for attention which is a definite plus for us. So we go after supper, and when we come back we can all relax because he just rests. I am also content

It's about time they open a dog park in our city. And only 4 streets from my house too! I have been living there for almost 15 years and every year we petition for a dog park and they finally came through.

Anyways, I am happy, Dodger is happy and tired, it's all good.

So happy for you and Dodger I love watching them making new friends and enjoying themselves at the park.

    Yeah Dodger! Freedom!

Just keep a close eye on interactions. Some owners are really idiots about their dogs.

He was exhausted tonight and I loved it!!!! Actually my friend brought her newly adopted chocolate lab and he kept trying to hump Dodger. Dodger let him once or twice then put him in his place. He would try again every now and then but again Dodger would put him in his place and he never retaliated so we let them be and they got along fabulously other than Dodger having to remind him every now and then that he doesn't appreciate being humped. I am so glad we have this new dog park.

That sounds like great fun for Dodger, except the humping part, lol! It sounds like he handled himself well with the unwanted attention at least.
