    Fran's already getting cold.

Oh dear. It was 70 degrees today and she was curled up tight in the back seat of the car. We're going to have to keep blankets everywhere. Poor girl. She was cold last year and has always liked lying in the sun but this is pretty early for this kind of thing.

Does your dog get cold easily? What do you do about it?

Yes although not a lab but my Ginger does. We buy those fuzzy soft throws for her, Sarah loves using them for a pillow. We have at least one in every room and in the pups car too.

Poor girl! Chase is just the opposite- he'll happily lie out in the snow during a blizzard. Lark doesn't have the heavy coat Chase has but she doesn't seem to seek out extra warmth, but not extra cold either. I can see them liking those fleecy blankets you can find almost anywhere at this time of year. But getting the hair out of them is pretty much impossible.

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

Poor Fran. But, there is nothing like snuggling under a nice blankie.

Maxx, no but poor Emma, yes! She has many soft blankies to snuggle in and be covered up with. She loves a good snuggle and a soft blankie!

These are really nice, and keep the bed a safe and even temperature. I use a smaller size for newborn puppies. :-)

Both Oban and I prefer the cold. I wonder if the bed Oban has would be good for Fran? It's a Drop 'n Flop. It's like a big hunting seat cushion filled with styrofoam beads and those beads get warm. So warm we hide it away in summer, it's far too warm to lie on.
