I took Sam over to the elementary school by our house to play Chuck-it yesterday. There was a Little league game going on in the baseball field but we decided to play anyway. I only got one or two tosses of the ball in when these cute little girls came over to play with us. The one little girl was talking to me and she said my dream dog is a yellow lab. I didn't pick up on the dream part and I said oh you have a yellow lab. She was like no that's my dream dog! Cracked me up!! We played with the girls for about a half hour. It was great experience for Sam to be around kids. The only problem is today Sam seems to have an injury to his paw. The skin on one of his pads is ripped up and there's a flap of skin hanging off. I think it was because the ground was super dry and hard and he was skidding into his retrieves. I may have to take him to the vet to get her to cut the flap off because he keeps licking it.

Hope the foot is ok. I've been to fields like that and found bits of glass. There's just no way to scout ahead for stuff like that.

We have an elementary school by us where they play Little League, soccer and pee-wee football. Maxx knows the way there by heart, it is his favorite place when filled with kids! I am glad Sam had a good time. I hope his foot heals quickly.

I think at one point we all had "dream dogs"...now you can find the real life versions in our avatars! It makes my day when cute kids play with Bubba, it's quite the combo.
