Some history: As most of you know, we got Archie from a GSD "breeder". We'd heard glowing reports about her plus DD has one of her pups, a gorgeous dog. As it turns out, am not impressed at all with her older dogs; we have spent thousands getting Archie back to health, mostly dental issues.
The breeder promised to send us his AKC papers. What I wanted more than anything was his birthday. I've called, written, called to no avail. There is a facebook site for the breeder and all the reports seemed similarly glowing. Ah, maybe for puppies but not for the adults. Anyway, caught a post from a lady who owns one of Archie's puppies. I immediately PMed her to see if she would share the puppy's AKC papers. I don't even have Archie's registered name, only his call name. That was in October of 2013.
Last night I got a PM back from her. She stated that she and others had a difficult time getting AKC paperwork. She said she was more than happy to share her pup's (Ashley) paperwork.
So, maybe, just maybe, we'll find out Archie's full name and most important his birthdate. Here hoping!

Hope it works out that you get the info you want. There is really no reason the breeder should not give you the info, just a stubborn person.
Archie NEEDED a family like you to help take care of him, he deserves it and we all thank you.
