    First Duck Hunt of the Year!

    Bacon had a great first hunt of the year! He did a great job retrieving, was watching all the ducks, and loving every minute of it. He was doing a great job of waiting, such a patient boy. My favorite part of the day was when he came back from a retrieve with a pop can in his mouth. Both Jake and I couldnt stop laughing. He had to find something to retrieve!

    We ended up with 4 ducks total (this is great for a hot day like it was, 75F is way too hot for hunting!).

    We hunted in a beautiful part of the river

    You guys must have been roasting in those waders!!! I don't put a coat on until it drops into the 50's!!

    We were absolutely roasting! Shorts and a tee shirt under our waders and we were still dying!! At least Bacon was happy and the ducks were flying

    We did bacon wrapped duck stuffed with cream cheese, shredded cheddar and jalapeno. Delicious. and of course, bacon always gets a taste, just the meat
