Is there anything to do at Disney World?

This is actually a serious question. My husband went to a conference in Orlando. He met with everyone he wanted to meet, got wined and dined, went to all of the talks he wanted to attend and his talk is tomorrow morning. His flight out is Thursday and he's talking about working Wednesday after his talk.

He has serious motion sickness so he doesn't like rides but he's a mile from Disney World. Is there anything that he might enjoy there or in the vicinity?

Universal is fun and entertaining. Blue Man Group show is a cool way to spend an evening.
Also Citiwalk is a nice way to spend an evening.

I was going to suggest Epcot as well. I love that place, they are so geeky and you can try food and drink from all over the world. Its a fun place. I have not been to the Animal thing but have heard amazing things about it.

Disney is ridiculously expensive especially if rides are not his thing. A single day ticket to Epcot (or any of the parks) is about $92 plus tax and I'm not sure if that's a Florida resident price. I suggest he check out Downtown Disney, it's a nice shopping area and it's free. Some of the older hotels like the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian are neat to check out. You can hop on the Disney monorail and check them out for free as well.

Citiwalk is another neat area at the entrance of the Universal parks.

Or if he has a car, he's less than an hour away from Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach.

Epcot is cool, for adults it has great food and alcohol. I ate lunch at the italian sit down restaurant and it was fine. seemed all authentic to me with all italian staff and great food(nothing like olive garden). if you dont want to eat a full meal, they have snacks in front of each ethnicity. I like trying the different beers myself. the animal kingdom is great also. its like a safari. dont have to walk I hate disney world as an adult. but really like all the other parks.

Thank you everyone. He did end up going to CityWalk and walking along the water somewhere where there's a pier. He's going back in October for another conference. It sounds like he should hit Epcot.
