Am I the bad Halloween house?

I picked up a whole bunch of full size Airheads and Mike & Ike's on clearance. If I pass them out for Halloween without any chocolate options, am I the bad Halloween house? Maybe it's an age thing but I just can't stop couponing.

    I'll be right over!!

When I used to trick or treat, chocolate was nice, but I was way more interested in the other candies (sour patch, airheads, tootsie pops, popcorn balls, etc.) It all depends on the kid/teenager. Some kids don't like chocolate while others do. Some don't like it in huge quantities, others eat every single piece of chocolate and then bounce off the walls.

I ate the chocolate of course, don't worry

It's been a good 8-10yrs or so since I last trick or treated. I know I'm an adult, but I still really want to go out and trick or treat. I find myself buying the giant bags of candy at Walmart the day after Halloween so I can get my chocolate/other candy fix...whoops I guess I'm the adult that will never grow up!

I'm still working through the chocolate I picked up after last Christmas and I'm much older than you so I suspect that habit doesn't go away. I would put that out as well but it looks like Christmas candy.

    Sounds great to me.

I'm kinda bummed this year not going to be able to go all out like I usually do.

Heck no. We don't even hand out candy. We don't have kids so I don't feel as though I am obligated to do so. We did for a while until the "kids" in the apartment complex across the road from my subdivision started showing up in caravans of SUVs with not a costume in the bunch. Um, no. Lights out. No candy for you.

I think you would be one of my favorite houses but I love Airheads and Mike & Ike candy! I do love chocolate but I don't remember my kids getting many good alternatives like these 2.

Anything full size is awesome! But, you might be setting a precedent for the years to come.

I'm still not sure yet if I'm going to hand out candy this year. Last year I turned my lights off early because I had had enough of the kids who couldn't even be bothered to say "trick or treat" or "thank you" because they were on their phones.

I just re-read my post. It sounds as though I should be standing on my porch yelling in a crotchy voice with my fist in the air "Stay off mah lawn, ya darn kids!"

Hey Janedoe- I coupon too! I am sure that the kids will get plenty of other candy including chocolate , I would pass yours out and not feel guilty ! Since my kids have moved out we get a lot less trick or treaters. I think we had 10? last year.... The last 2 got a great stash, since I didn't want any left overs in the house.
