Had to put my kitty to sleep yesterday:(

Last week I took Jasmine to the vet BC she was drinking and peeing a ton the blood work came back she was in kidney failure and her BUN was 8. The vet said there was no treatment with it that low and she only had 20 percent function.

I took her home as she was still eating well that quick she was looking weeker and she wasn't eating well she would eat about half. Ive seen kidney cats come in when it became bad emaciated and severely dehydrated I didn't want that for my girl. I spend a few days with her holding her, cuddling her and talking with her.

I got her at 6 weeks old and she was just shy of her 17th birthday. She was my first cat I had her before I met my husband.

I was with her and held her and told her how much I loved her as she took her last breath.I know I did the right thing but it still hurts so bad.

    I'm so sorry.

It's good that you could spare her some fear and pain...and holding her those last moments brought comfort.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Being your first I imagine Jasmine was extra special, the one who taught you the magic of cats. I know Jasmine did a good job on you, else surely you would not be fostering all those kittens. Thank you Jasmine.

I'm so very sorry for your loss of your dear kitty.....We had to put our precious Pug to sleep almost 3 weeks ago, & I think I will never get over it. You gave your kitty a great life--I guess that is all we can do. Hugs.
