Need a food recommendation for Georgia

I have posted in the past about her anal gland problems. Personally I believe her stool is too soft although it is properly formed. The vet didn't believe that it looked overly soft. We are feeding her Nutro Lite because of her past pancreas problem. She hasn't had any problems since the initial attack.

It was commented on here that the fibre count is pretty high in the Nutro Lite. I am looking to change her food to something that is still low fat for her pancreas but maybe a little less in fibre or more normal. The Vet recommend whatever food they carry but I don't want to be tied to having to go there every time I need food.
    Thanks Everyone!!

Annamaet has a grain free light formula. Annette's Chloe looks great on it. It is low fat. The higher protein might help Georgia with her issues. It is chicken based, however. I would use something that is NOT cellulose powder filled. Changeover gradually. I used Nutro for close to 20 years, but the quality dropped a lot after one of the company sales. The 2006-7 mela poisoning finished me, and one of my dogs.

One feeds a lot less of Annamaet regular dog food than other brands I have used. There are grain inclusive lower fat formulas, too.

What food did the Vet recommend? Maybe you can find a similar one at the pet food store.

Gee, on the Nutro Canadian website the only Nutro Lite I can find is biscuits in the treat section. They don't list it as a food. I wanted to look up the ingredients, do you have a link?

The food Charlotte referred to is Annamaet Lean which is 30% protein, 7% fat and is recommended for pancreatitis dogs. I have no idea the fiber content though. Chloe is doing VERY well on it.

The fiber is a more normal 3.5%.

I have searched a number of nearby stores websites and places to order online in Canada and it doesn't appear to be an option.
    Thanks Everyone!!

Check with the owner, Rob Downey, by emailing the contact on annamaet.com. It was formulated for sked dogs, so there is probably a distributor in addition to the one in Quebec.

What about Wellness Core or Simple in the low fat versions? Can you get those? Also, if Georgia is not on digestive enzymes, maybe check with the vet about adding something like Prozyme. She will get more good out of her food's nutrition.
