My Mom turned 91 this year. She had a stroke in early June, that left her more forgetful and physically more frail. Now, she is in a wing of the retirement home that's for residents with dementia, or cognitive impairment. They have several activities to keep everyone busy. One of the things is oil painting. Mom use to paint when she was in her 40's. I remember sitting at the kitchen table with her while she painted. I guess she still remembers some of her technique. One of the care-workers said when she asked Mom about this painting her face just lite up and she became very animated. I love the colours in it, the way she managed to get the changing distance with the lampposts. I plan to somehow (suggestions welcome) incorporate it into a Xmas card that she could send out.

Wow, you can tell your Mom has talent. The perspective is good, the way the leaves on the trees look like the sun is hitting them from the left. Nice job! My father-in-law was a painter and had some of his watercolors made into note cards- thousands of notecards, it turns out! He and his son ran a graphic arts/printing business, so I'm sure they did them themselves. I'm sure there are places that could do this for you. Maybe brownietrout could offer suggestions on where to look.

Beautiful painting! That would be awesome on a Christmas card. There are tons of websites out there that will let you make a custom card using an image

Wow, Sue-Ram, that is perfect! I like the snow fall. Okay, need to look up Vista Print.
