I've worked at them before assisting in surgery, and they were no different than routine spay/neuters at the Veterinarian I worked for.
Does anyone here have any experience with low cost spay and neuter clinics? I've looked into them for when the time comes for Molly's spay. The cost difference is unreal, our vet is about $300, where these places charge around $75. It is all these places do everyday, so it makes me think it would be safe.
I know both of my cats were done at one of them, but this was before I got them, so I don't have personal experience.
Just curious if anyone here has any experience. Or would it be to Molly's benefit to suck it up and have it done at our vet?

I would get detailed estimates for both and compare. It used to be that a different type of anesthetic was used but that was long ago. I personally know of three dogs who have died in the procedure so I treat it as a serious surgery and would only want someone I trusted completely. If that were a low cost clinic then great!
Have not used one. They are a good thing for those with limited funds.
Your vet knows your dog and his/her history. I always have a quick mini panel blood work done prior to surgery to make sure everything is OK. I don't think the low cost clinics do that. You might want to price getting the pre op workup done at your vet, along with a physical if one has not been done in the past year, and then compare costs. Also check that the low cost clinic dispenses post surgical pain meds.

With my vet part of the cost is the over night stay and care. I'm not sure about this low cost clinic but the ones around here go home same-day. That might be part of the cost difference.

I would not use one for my dogs. but that is me.... I only use a vet I know and trust. $300 is cheap for a spay compared to what I pay around here. My vet wanted $1000. I have another vet an hour away that did my last one for half the price.

I depends on the clinic. The one here is great and like you said, it's ALL they do so they do it well.

I would never use one.
It just depends on what you can afford I guess. I would rather have Daisy in hands I know and trust. My old vet said they didn't do a good job with big dogs when spaying (They are used to operating on puppies not fully grown dogs)...so I found a new vet. I will have to ask my vet about the blood panel as Daisy's is coming up soon and I don't think they mentioned it. I found a vet that does laparascopic spay for $440...(They said it would be $340 for a traditional spay) less pain and a quicker recovery. Here's a link about it:

We were still in college when we spayed Daisy. Once a month the shelter would give out free spay/neuter vouchers. You could only use them at the low-cost clinic but we already went to that clinic anyway so we trusted them. It was the same vets office that did the spay/neuters for the shelter so it was pretty routine for them. We paid up for blood work and pain meds. She has a little green tattoo where the incision was, I probably wouldn't elect for that but it was their policy and everything turned out fine.
