    Haven't posted in a while

but I have been lurking. Ruger and Charlie are doing great. Ruger turned 7 last month (where does time go?) & Charlie's 5th gotcha day will be next month.

Some of the older members may remember I went thru a divorce a few years ago. It was a tough & depressing time, but my boys got me through it. Those big, goofy lugs were the best therapy. Re-entering the "dating pool" after 40 was a roller coaster, but the end of the ride was so totally worth it. A friend of mine kept wanting to set me up with someone he knew. I kept putting it off, but one day I said to myself "What do I have to lose? Absolutely nothing". So I told my friend to give the guy my number. We talked on the phone for a week or so and he asked me out. I said yes, and it was the best thing I ever did. I truly believe I found my soul mate. We have so much in common, but the best thing is how much he loves my boys and how much they love him. I am so happy.

So that's what has been going on in my life. I just wanted to pop in and give a quick update. I haven't posted a lot since the board crashed, but I plan on being back regularly again.

So happy to see you back and hear how well things are going! Good thing Ruger and Charlie were there to give 2 paws up on this new guy. If they hadn't liked him or he hadn't liked them, that would have been your signal to haul a$$. We'll look forward to hearing more from you!

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

Good to see you back! My Mom was in her mid-50's when she was set up with the man who would become my step-father.
