This is a good question- never thought about it. Macy has had shrimp before with no ill effects- except for drooling before she got a nibble.
Had boiled shrimp for dinner and there's some left over. This is plain boiled, no spices, etc. Would it be OK to chop and give Mardi and Archie. It would not be a lot.
Have seen questions regarding almost everything else but not shrimp. I would tend to think it is fine but wanted to check.

Luna's had shrimp before and she's been fine. It's okay in small amounts.

It's not on my list of foods from my holistic vet but I think that's because it's not considered a diet staple, not because it's dangerous or bad for dogs.

Oh, I so miss fresh seafood. Was really spoiled living in Savannah, going to the dock and getting fresh fish and shrimp off the boats. Around here the stores advertise "defrosted for your convenience". Spent lots of time with DD heading shrimp. Darn kid, I almost had to put baseball gloves on both her hands to slow her down she could eat them so fast.

Our New Year's Eve tradition for many years was to steam up a large batch of shrimp and share them with the cats (that seems really lame when you see it in print...oh well). The dogs always got a taste after the cats left their bowls and they seemed almost as enthusiastic as the cats were.
Don't know if you ended up sharing or not but I'm sure the poochies were pleased if you did.
We used to let the dogs eat the shrimp tails!
