Etiquette question- sharing breeder name on this website

Many of you read my story about my sweet boy Milo, the amputation he went through (August, 2015) then a few months later loosing his battle with cancer. I am happy to say I am getting a puppy !

My question is, what is the "etiquette" for sharing the breeders name? My particular breeder is pretty well known and I have a strong feeling that at least one member on here knows her personally, some on here may know her pretty well or have a dog from her lines.

I am just curious. Not saying anything negative - my experience has been completely positive - just not sure if people commonly identify the breeder of their lab. I read the sticky as well - FYI

Hmmm, no breeders names are supposed to be used, although I think people who name their dogs and the dog's name includes the kennel name, well, that kind of lets the cat out of the bag. But as far as saying anything good, bad, or indifferent about a specific breeder, I think that's not supposed to happen. If you have questions about your breeder, you could invite private messages from board members, or send a private message to a member who you think might know the breeder and communicate through those channels, not on the open forum.

My dogs may have siblings or half-siblings on the board but I don't know. I haven't asked and I haven't said who my dogs' parents are. I wouldn't know that via the board, only if I found out some other way, even though it would be cool to know.

That said, I have bred and am active in the Labrador Community so if you want to see if anyone knows your breeder, you can PM me.

I'm not sure where "advertising puppies", asking about particular "breeders" when looking at litters and naming kennel names because that is where your puppy came from, ever got confused. Really, folks? If that's the case, I guess I'm at big time fault. Some people need to get a life?

People who know my breeder have guessed the breeder based on my location and my dog's appearance.

I'm too new here to have an opinion, and I do understand why we don't want people advertising puppies or slandering breeders here, but it does seem a little strict to not mention them at all.
