    Why Should I

Have to go to physical therapy tomorrow?

Washed the kitchen bay window and waxed the frame, washed the living room bay and waxed it's frame, washed the other living room window, took down curtains, washed and hung back up. That was a lot of up and down on my little two step ladder.

I think I've done enough exercise, don't you? Bet my therapist won't think so, LOL.

On the same line, PT changes each visit. It is still painful to "twist" the leg, like rotating my foot inward or outward. Apparently that is one of the last things PT works on and did she work on it on Monday. Discomfort has moved from the incision area to the areas where PT is concentrating, working on strengthening those muscles. The last few visits has been working on butt muscles, yikes! DH says I'm walking so much better now, more upright, not like I have a corn cob up my butt. He's so delicate with his words. Am able to walk much greater distances but still a little hesitant to take Archie on a walk, trying to walk with a cane and handle the leash. That will come. Am almost out of narcotic pain med and called for a refill as I use a 1/4 dose before PT. Ortho has changed the med to a nonnarcotic now. Don't need to take anything other than a Tylenol during the day or before bedtime.

Am I seeing the light at the end of the tunnel??

Oh, I'm not going to stop PT. Everyone has told me it's the key to really conquering recovery. Love my therapist, she has a senior dog. Have not met all my goals yet, ones I set at the very beginning, but I'm chipping away at them.

That's great! Good for you for sticking with it. We're huge believers in PT. My husband probably would have wound up in a wheelchair without it.
