    Not Great News

Sitting back in the hospital again. Came in through the ER last night, extreme abdominal pain. Of all things, pancreatitis. I don't have time for this; there's too much to do at home besides already being behind in shopping.

If I'm not totally drugged up and high, I'm barfing. This is miserable. Then my primary care doc starts talking being here for a week plus. GI doc seems more optimistic.

Anyone have any experience they could share.

    Oh, geez....

Can I just send you some good thoughts since I have no experience with this?

You know...remember you told Cookie that you and he could be physical therapy partners? Maybe this is some sort of shared recovery pain. (OK...so much for my weird humor)

Hope you feel better quickly and this isn't going to be an ongoing worry for you.

That is just awful! I have a friend that had it, she said the pain was just awful. Sending you tons of good, healing thoughts.

Oh no, Fran. I only know of dogs that have had it, and second hand at that. You didn't eat a whole tub of margarine like the one did, did you? But I do know that dog got better quickly. You will too.

Feel better Fran! From what I know with pancreatitus, as long as it is caught early and treated, it is a smooth recovery. Do they know why this happened? Is it at all connected to your hip surgery (I would think not).

    Oh, no...

I know that pancreatitis is one of THE most painful conditions there is and tough to get that kind of pain under control. Just take care. This, too will pass.
