    Dog Seat Belt- car accident

Just want to remind everyone the importance of dog seat belt.

Yesterday we had a car accident. Dogs were at the back seat with their seat belt (as always). A car crashed into the back of my car while we stopped at the red light. He was very fast so crashed with big force. With that force I crashed to the car in front of me. I thought that this crashing will last forever and we would die. I cried for some time because of the shock.
Dogs are ok, nothing happened to them. Both their seat belt and the car seat cover protected them I guess. This cover is soft and covers their back and front area completely.
I have some pain on the neck. I went to the hospital, nothing serious. But I always feel like a car will crash me. I think this will pass by time.

I was in a car accident last July (alone in the car thankfully) and it’s only been in the last few weeks that I haven’t had that feeling, so while it will pass, don’t be surprised if it takes a while. ((HUGS))

I am so glad you are all ok! Give yourself some time to work through the trauma, your reaction and feelings are very normal.

    Thank you.
No, he said that he was absent-minded and did not realize that the cars were stopping.

This sounds exactly like the crash that accordianed my Toyota Corona many many years ago. The driver was arguing with his wife and didn't see the line of cars stopped for the light. I watched in my rear view mirror as they approached...yikes.

I'm so glad you and the pooches are OK!!!

So glad all of you were not injured seriously. Hope your neck is OK. Be sure to follow up if there is continued pain.

Thank you for the reminder to have the dogs restrained while travelling... very thankful you all are ok! it will take some time, but you will eventually lose that feeling that its all about to crash again. I hope your neck doesn't take to long to stop hurting.

    Glad you are ok!

That is one fear that I have when Murphy is in the car with me. I've got a seat belt for me, but the sneaky little coconut head figured out a way to get out of it. After reading your post, I'm going to start looking for a better one (that's coconut head proofed!).

I was in a fender bender back when I was 11. We were making a left hand turn out of a driveway and a car hit the driver's side tire. Everything was ok except for the tire and a huge dent, but I was (and still am) terrified making left handed turns anywhere, whether it be a driveway or intersection. The situation will make you more aware when you drive as well.
