    This Board is Amazing

I am just so blown away at the level of love and caring on this board. A group of virtual friend who share a love of our dogs and the way we all pull together and lift each other up during times of trouble and triumph! The out pouring of love for Barry and the way we have kept Comet and Cookie in our thoughts and prayers is amazing. These are just a few of the most recent cases but it just solidifies my love of this group of people.
Thank you all for being such a caring and loving group.

I feel closer to the members here than almost all of my family and friends(very few). The people here are true, when they say 'I am so sorry, they KNOW they feelings and hurt someone is going thru. Al most everyone here has experienced the hurt, grief, pain of loss and the sublime
lift of joy. So we can all join with each other to share.

To most people a dog "is just a
dog" something to take care of on the most rudimentary level or a toy for the kids, not a real family members or even closer-a soul mate.

Here I go exposing the merits of dogs and their owners, but WE are a bonded family---thru thick or thin.

If only the rest of humanity was like the people on the board !! O the wonders we could do.

Think I have and secret. This is a group of dogs, doing dog things, living fantastic dog lives. Us humans are allowed to participate because we are better at the keyboards.

In reality, I think of us as a family, caring, loving, giving. We are using what our dogs have taught us, given us, heart. It does not matter if it's dogs, cats, birds, fish, we are better because of them.

I agree with every word of the above. Life is hard, lots of ups and downs, but the Labs are there for us as we are for them. The problem is with other humans in the population that don't understand the connection.

Tilly is the first dog I have owned as an adult, and she has definitely made me a better person, same as being part of this board, has also made me a better person.
