    Follow Up Doctor Visit

Follow up visit with my GP and to review blood work. Pancreatitis is completely gone according to blood work. Tonight I celebrated getting off this dang fat free diet although I did lose over 10 pounds. Some of that was OK but I need to put some back on. Doc says to slowly re-introducing fat in my diet. Still have some tummy tenderness that doc says is related to stomach, not pancreas. Have another follow up visit in another week with the gastroenterologist to see what he says about the stomach. It better be OK cause the mini cheese cake pies in the freezer are screaming my name.

CT to be done on Monday, another follow up that was planned while in the hospital. Going to have to drink barium, UGH! Guess if I can stay on a fat free diet for so long, I can manage a couple of bottles of barium.

Oh, celebration dinner was boiled shrimp, baked fish, green beans and baked French fries. OK, not heavy on fat but it was so good to taste "real" food again. Still have some Eddy's sherbet which is only like 2% fat and I love it. That's going to be my treat this evening.

Tomorrow is my last visit with physical therapy. Graduation Day! Hip was a little sore yesterday but I was washing walls, up and down a short ladder, and doing wash, up and down the basement stairs, so soreness understandable. The only goal I have not reached is long walks with Archie. It's been so dang rainy for weeks now it's been impossible, then yesterday's rain/sleet/snow. Temps next week look like it will melt all of that off so walking we will go. He desperately needs a nail trim so PetsMart is on the list to be done soon. Since Bass Pro is just across the street, we'll probably do both.

GP told me I was not allowed to have anything else go wrong. Informed her I was just getting everything out of the way at one time. Now all I need is spring to come so I can get back into the gardens!

Nice to hear good news. If you do need help with those little cheesecakes let me know. Hope you get to eat them yourself though.

What a tough row to hoe you have had. Sounds like by the time the soft spring air returns you and Archie will be ready for it.

Fantastic! So glad you can start eating the good stuff again, if only a little bit at a time.
