    More Doctor Follow Ups

Went to the GI doctor this morning. CT showed some calcifications in the pancreas which may have been the cause of the pancreatitis, liver has a cyst, gallbladder OK. Liver cyst has been there for years but a little bit bigger. Best news, no cancer detected. Doc called it idiopathic pancreatitis. So, he ordered more tests to set up a routine to keep, as best as we can, it from happening again. More follow up blood work, an MRCP (magnetic imaging cholangiopancreatography). He has also set me up for an upper endoscopy early next month. I still am having a little pain but it is stomach pain and he wants to make sure no ulcers.

Then off to the ortho doc for a follow up on the hip. Healing and recovery is right on target. Still have an area of numbness but the nerves are regenerating in the area because sometimes they get cranky and I just have to walk it off and in a few days it's gone. Of all things, I now have an ingrown toenail so going to have to follow up on that with the podiatrist who is in the same office.

I'm very lucky that all these offices, including the imaging center, are all within 15 minutes of the house. Things are looking good for being able to go into a great spring gardening season!

What an ordeal. When it rains it pours, right? I guess the calcification is treatable and meds will keep it under control? Good to hear your hip is okay and thankfully, no cancer. Sending healing thoughts your way!

Sure on the good report, especially no cancer.

MRCP (magnetic imaging cholangiopancreatography) glad I don't have to pronounce that!!!

You will probably be ready for gardening way before the ground will be.
