4 AM Max is up

Sing it to Billy Joel's Piano Man. Max and me today....... 7 months old I forgot what it was like, I grew old with my other dogs, long time since a young one in my house


It's four am on a Saturday
Max comes bounding in
There's an old man sleeping its me
Simply trying to just sleep in

Max barks, "Steve, can you play a game with me
I don't really care how it goes
I know that it's dark and I'll continue to bark
And then I'll tare up your clothes"

Play me a game in middle of the night
Well, I'm in the mood for a tug o war

Now Max at the door was a friend of mine
He stands at the door to pee
And he's quick with his nose or to nibble your toes
But there's someplace that I'd rather be
Steve says, "Max, I believe this is killing me."
And there is no smile on my face,
I'm sure that I could go back to sleep,
If you stop invading my space"

Now Max is a real con artist
Who has entered my life
And he pees like a lady, he's still my baby

And Max is practicing politics
As he slowly brings me his bone
Yes, we're sharing a drink and his thanklessness

It's to damn early for a Saturday
And max gives me a growl
'Cause he knows that it's me who'll let him out to pee
So I can go back to sleep for a while

And Max, thinks hes at a carnival
And he decides to lick at my ear
And he sits at the door at a quarter to four
And says, "Man, I'm glad to live here"
