I think you have to be a Lab lover to realize how ridiculously funny that all is. Your "want a cookie?" line totally had my dogs putting their feet on the desk trying to figure out where the goodies were going to be coming from.

Now that is funny!!! But too many distractions, maybe inside is better and you a little farther away so it launches them short of where he is sitting so he sees them and knows what is coming his away. Then move a little closer so he can catch them in flight.
That would be a fun way to feed a dog.
