    Sad Story

Owner of abandoned dog admits to hitting her in head with hammer | News - Channel3000.com

I don't know if this made national news, but this poor elderly girl was beat in the head with a hammer and left in a duffel bag in the woods in WI. She also has a large growth on her stomach. Her "owner" is being charged and Misty is now in the care of CCHS. Everyone keep this poor girl in your thoughts and prayers!

I can't bear to read this, just your overview makes me want to vomit. Let me in a room with that asshole for about 5 minutes, he'd wish he'd never lived when I'm done with him. Anyone who could harm a defenseless animal or a child should not be allowed to breathe.

Watched the video and it was horrible. While the images were of Misty after treatment, she has multiple staples to close the wounds. To top it off, it was a woman who did this. Video of Misty shows a grey muzzled sweet senior lab with a nonstop wagging tail.

The woman also has another dog who was to be placed in a new home.

The good news, the woman was given a $10,000 bail and charged with a felony and ordered not to go near Misty, her other dog or any animal. The case is ongoing.

Prayers being sent for Misty's complete recovery and a new loving home.

I won't say what I hope this woman gets - I think you all know how I feel.

Her other dog, a chihuahua, was placed with a family member. That makes me nervous. The original newscast had her saying the dog was acting "goofy". Turns out this was some sadistic euthanasia attempt. It's all just so sad.

On on a brighter point, it was 4 teenage boys that rescued her and have visited her. Good kids!

I couldn't make it through the story. This kind of thing drives me over the edge.

She couldn't afford euthanasia and has to pay 10000$ now! Karma is a b**ch! Glad the dog is well, after all she has been through. Poor girl.

I can not read it either. My feelings and what I would like to do to this person are better off left unsaid.

I am surely no one to pass judgment on this lady, but if she was trying to euthanize Misty I would think she could have taken her to a shelter at least for advice and maybe to leave her.

Hooray for the four teens who found and saved her and the Humane Society that treated her. Hope she goes to a loving home.

I couldn't read it either. I just can't understand how someone could do this to an animal.

Cant bring myself to read the story. Im relieved that these teens found her and did something about it. Soooooo very sad that there are such cruel people in this world.
