I always enjoy the Super Bowl because we have a big neighborhood party and it's a fun day with friends. But there have been some years where the party hasn't happened and frankly I have more fun tuning in to the the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet.
Since the Superbowl is in the Bay Area this year and my company is a big sponsor, I've been working our event in San Francisco this week instead of my 'day job'. On my way there yesterday morning I stumbled across the full-on Puppy Bowl setup, complete with the Referee! (rufferee?) Apparently during Super Bowl festivities they have a touring version set up for people to see adoptable dogs from the local rescue organizations.
I stood there drinking my coffee and watching a litter of adorable 11 week old lab/terrier mixes playing for almost 30 minutes. I was late to my shift but I didn't care!
So if you're in San Francisco in the next couple days make sure to wander to the northwest end of the Ferry Building (in front of Gotts) for a puppy fix.
I wanted to scoop this little guy up and bring him home with me!

It's more fun to watch the Puppy Bowl and commercials for the Super Bowl than the game itself!!!
I was there yesterday at about 8:30 AM when they were doing media interviews and it was empty. When I went back by (to get some ice cream after my 6 hour shift of trying to talk above marching bands) it was crazy busy. So if you can swing by in the morning check it out!Originally Posted by zd262
