Welcome home, Momm- hey, what's that?

I got back in town after a business trip and was so excited to see my Kimber girl. She ran to the door to greet me, toy in mouth. She eagerly rubbed up against me and sniffed my legs and I rubbed her head- and then she zoomed over to my right hand, in which I was holding bag with the remains of a sandwich from the road. A chicken sandwich.

So ended any interest she had in me! LOL. Mom is no match for chicken.

Hahaha labs will be labs. We had a bunch of people over this weekend and everyone was disappointed because I gave Bubba a bully stick on his bed and he wouldn't get up to interact or greet a single person. Food always wins!

I feed the dogs and if they think food is on the way, my husband can come downstairs in the morning or come home at the end of the day and they act like he's not even there. In the morning I just have to feed them so we can get to work and if he doesn't get his morning greeting, sorry dude. In the afternoon I try to avoid touching or in any way hinting at food when I know he's on his way. At least we can be sure Kimber shows true lab characteristics! Hi Mo...chicken! I smell chicken!!!

Well, you did save that for her didn't you? No DNA testing needed, you have a true lab.

Reminds me of when my dad would come home from a business trip when i was a kid. I always looked forward to the trade show trinkets he would bring back. "Hey dad, nice to see you. Where are the toys?"
