Hot chicks!
They are feathering out and we'll have to dim the bulb shortly as a result. In the meantime, they have a cooler area to go to but seem to be sleeping under the lamp probably just from habit. Growing up is hard to do!

It's really a huge adjustment. It's like going from being naked to being clothed. They just don't know what to do with it. And there's a huge step down in the bulb wattage so I have to be careful about downgrading.

Could you move the bulb up a little until they can handle a lower wattage?
It must be very tiring to grow that fast. They are all tuckered out.
About 2/3 of the tank is dark. They just needed to figure out to move over which they did today. Well, all but one. It's a logic problem.It looks like they have enough feathers today so I'll try the lower watt bulb tonight and make sure they're not cold.
