    Remember this old member?

Do any of the long-time members remember Jen, who was on here as Peakswagger?
She lived in Colorado, and went camping and hiking with her two dogs and hubby? She posted the most beautiful photos of their excursions into back country with the dogs, remember?
I just read on her blog that her lab Maddie (almost 12 yrs old) is very sick with a tumor on the spleen, probably malignant. So sad.
    Here's her blog post:

I remember her. That's a shame about Maddie...hope she has more quality time left than what's feared. Pretty dog...she sure seems to enjoy a wonderful life.

It's hard to decide what to do. I have a friend with an old dog that seemed to have the same problem. They opted for surgery. The dog recovered from that just fine, but he's also like 11+ years, so it seems that something else just keeps going wrong with the dog. It's hard when they get old.

I am so sorry to hear that. It seems like every time I turn around now I'm hearing about spleen tumors. All good thoughts.

Oh no! I remember her well. I'm so sorry to hear this. If you're in contact with her, I hope you will let her know the Board is thinking of her and Maddie.

I do remember them also, for some reason craft beers sticks in my mind. If you are in touch, as kimbersmom says, please give Jen our hellos and let her know our thoughts are with them as they travel this path.

Oh no, that's not good. It does sound as if Maddie has perked up a bit. I think my decision, given the information in the blog, would be exactly the same. Good thoughts to Maddie and her family. Yes, I do remember them.
