Salad Bars - what do you want to see?

I've been asked to coupon a salad bar. What do you like on your salad bar? Celery and cottage cheese came up. I question these choices.

Different greens, i.e. lettuce, romaine, green peppers, tomatoes, a type of bean, i.e. garbanzo, kidney (or a three bean type mix), red onions, cucumbers, crotons, mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower, shredded carrots, shredded cheese, and a selection of dressings. Cottage cheese is not a bad choice.

Daily I make a salad my lunch. I'll add chopped chicken and black olives to the mix too.

Can't go wrong with the basics - Lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, shredded carrots

And if it's available I also like to add chickpeas or edamame beans, craisins, and a crumbled cheese like a feta or gorgonzola.

Dressing wise I usually go for a balsamic but if that's not available plain old olive oil and vinegar does the trick

Great. So garbanzos seem good. I like those as well. Craisins are good. I hadn't thought of that.

Blueberries or diced apples as well. They go great in salads. As do diced/hard boiled eggs.

I like cottage cheese. Of things not mentioned, i also like pickled beets and sunflower seeds. Don't care for bacon bits but they seem popular.

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

Definitely Cottage Cheese. Might be a California thing but salad bars out here always have Cottage Cheese.
Hard boiled eggs, Cherry tomatoes, Garbanzos, Potato salad, Spinach, to name a few......
