Remember doing taxes before the internet......

It wasn't so long ago that when I was doing up the taxes for the family I would end up with a rec room full of paper and receipts and eventually would end up calling the bank, credit card company or utilities getting missing invoices or copies mailed to me snail mail and it would be a total gong show.

This year I logged into any site I needed and download pdf copies of bills, receipts, tax bills and even my daughters tax receipts for tuition. No calling anybody, no being on hold for 15 minutes. Everything is downloaded, back up to an external hard drive and a cloud account. No massive box of folders and files taking up space for 5 years.

This year has been the easiest of all. So far.
    Thanks Everyone!!

It's GREAAAT, isn't it? That's what I did yesterday. I discovered I can view a year's worth of history from Hydro One, Enbridge, etc. copy and paste to Excel, sum them up and enter to get my home office costs. Also our health plan records and there are a lot of those this year. Makes it SO much faster and easier.
