Sophie and climbed out of bed about 9am this morning, went on our walk so she could wee and poo. We got home, I put her in a sit/stay in the family room, and went to get her food. Got the food, walked back past her up to the living room/kitchen and poured the food in her bowl. I left the bowl in the kitchen, walked into the living room and called her to front. Sophie was spot on. I got the bowl I've been using to teach her to pivot on, had her heel with her feet on the bowl. We started practicing stand/stays. On the third or fourth one, her nose goes up into the air and she's sniffing like crazy, after about 2 seconds she bolts upstairs to the office where my wife was working. I yell to my "Hey do you have a banana"???? She says yeah, I ate it while you two were walking. Yeah, about 30 minutes ago.
Somehow that little stinker winded that banana, which are her favorites, and decided that me and her breakfast were just going to have to wait!
This may have been posted somewhere else but it's so true haha...

I guess that training session had gone on just a tad longer than she could tolerate. Chase can smell a banana from anywhere in the house and awaken from what had moments before appeared to be a coma.

eta, outrag, you beat me to it!
LOL! Sure sounds like Mardi. Archie takes a piece, walks to the living room and spits it out.

I don't know it is about banana's, but all of mine would sell their mothers for a piece of one!
Lol
How are they with the dried/dehydrated banana chip-like things? 'Cause I think that a sliced banana (let alone a whole one) in the treat pouch could get kinda slimy during a training session.
