    Birds at the feeder today

This is a pretty little blue bird I have been seeing these past couple of days. I thought he was an Indigo Bunting but not sure today his body is blue but the wings look gray to me and he is trying to nest in one of my bird houses that the sparrows usually nest in. There were two yellow birds at the feeders yesterday but my camera died before I could get their pictures. (yes I know we need a new fence working on that lol)

also I have a pair of male Rose Breasted Grosbeaks at the feeders for the first time ever they are beautiful, haven't been able to spot the females yet.

    and one at the feeder

    Such beautiful birds!

Had to do some comparisons and it really is hard to tell the bluebird from the indigo bunting.

So beautiful-what great colors. I saw my first Hummingbird of the season this morning-they always make me smile. I try not to do feeders or anything that would over encourage the birds because of Henry (my mini black panther) but I do try to do organic gardening so at least if they pop down for a spell I'm not contaminating them.

I think he is an Indigo Bunting. Eastern Bluebirds have a red breast, but from the back they are quite alike. Very pretty both of them. And lucky you to get those photos.

Good photos! Thank you for sharing.

We should see our first Grosbeak within a week or so.

This is a good site thanks for the link. I also did some digging into the bird because he was standing on my deck railing with a pretty white breast to go with his blue wings and discovered he is a tree swallow. Someone else confirmed it for me too.
