My beautiful girl Hope was killed May 1st by a car in our lane. I am still shaking. Ball took a funny bounce & went in through some shrubs. My last thought was God I hope there is no car. No time to even call her & her re: call was damn near 100%.
I have only had her 14 months. She had been a country girl, living at the Rocking M Kennels in WA. She was trained in duck hunting & had her Junior Title. I brought her to the city & I worked so hard with her to make her comfortable & happy with all the changes. She was so so sweet. So loving. We did a lot of training which helped to bond us. I was so proud of her.
I am beyond sad & traumatized. She really had no chance due to the nature of the injuries, even though we got her to the ER Vet pretty fast. It's only 4 blocks away.
My neighbors, friends & family have overwhelmed me with kindness.
I miss all the little things about her.
My home is very empty & quiet now, but I feel her presence everywhere.
