Reminder of how important it is to teach a recall

Thank heavens I scheduled 2 fence estimates already this week! Good boy and good girl for coming when I called them! It fell down when they were in the yard, but we are all safe, in the house, and going outside on a leash until it is replaced. It's fallen down a couple times so far already this winter.

Free at last, free at last....

We're such worry warts that although we have a split rail fence that the dogs think they have to stay in side of, it's underlaid with an electric fence in case they decide to test that theory. When we lived somewhere with a stockade fence, that had an electric fence run along the middle horizontal piece as well.

I'm glad they didn't decide to make a break for it!

Good doggies. Good thing too, that it didn't fall down on someone. Could it have flipped over the other way and landed outside your property?

It did the last time. It is 8 feet tall and certainly has a mind of its own.

The fence can be replaced. The pups cannot. Good news!

Old fence, 8 feet high, really blows with the wind. Rotten posts too
