    Removing the sticker bushes.

I was so sure that taking out huge swaths of sticker bushes would be a horrible experience. It seemed that I would either have to hire a contractor or some kind of special equipment or poison everything.

Not so. I bought a lightweight, short handled titanium cutter from Fiskars and started cutting everything into lengths of about four inches or so until I got down to the roots then I dug those out. Ran the mower with a mulching blade over the whole mess and it was all gone. And now most of those horrible irritating clumps are just gone. It's going so fast too. Don't know why I found this so intimidating over the years.

Visions of me chopping down the blackberry bushes come to mind. Did the same way you did, a little bit at a time. Still got scratched to heck but they are gone. Glad to hear you got those stinkers gone.
