My cat got a glue mouse trap stuck on her paw

I called my vet and after initial befuddlement and some research, Gracie is now mouse trap free.

For future reference, wash the affected area with oil or butter, and then wipe with a Dawn and water solution.

She is so old and so dumb. Old girl was purring the entire time I was cleaning her paw off. She is so, so dumb. So sweet, but so dumb.

Poor kitty! Glad the solution was relatively easy. Now just don't tell the mice about it!

Our Gracie from across the river says hi, but she is definitely the brains of our operation over here.

Was she scared? It sounds scary. I've never seen a glue stick mouse trap.

OMG, my cat did that!! When we first got her. She managed to open the bathroom cabinet where it was at, and put her paw right into it. We came home from a restaurant, and there she was, sitting in the hallway, with her paw up in the air, just mewing pitifully. She was a little sweetheart about letting us work it off with baby oil. She just lay in the DH's arms and purred away.

Snowshoe, this is a glue trap. Mouse runs on it, gets stuck. Cat touches it, gets stuck, too. Hahaha.

What do you do with the stuck mouse? Work it's little stuck parts off with baby oil, wearing thick gloves so it won't bite you, and let it go away from your house? Or wait till it dies of starvation? Or fright? What? Thinking I like the idea of quick snap behind the head with a regular trap and instant, or at least quicker, death than this one. Or the live traps we use.
