    Very proud of my black dog today

    We showed outside in 90 degree heat with 70+% humidity - absolutely brutal, especially on the darker dogs.

    She was 3rd in Utility B with a 196 - she had a brain fart on gloves due to the heat and didn’t sit on the pivot which cost her 3 points, plus she was panting so hard she dropped the glove on my foot which was another .5 - she only had one other .5 deduction the whole class! Open B was even better - she was 2nd with a 198.5 (first was a perfect 200).

    Realized on the way home she was High Combined - it was given to another dog we all made the same math error that had her behind by .5 when in reality she was ahead by .5 - I blame the heat as I didn’t realize it until the air-conditioning kicked in, LOL. I don’t mind though - it’s just a ribbon and lady they gave it to is really nice, and had earned her first 200, so why not let her think she was High in Trial, High Combined and had a 200 all in the same trial - it will be a memory she will treasure.

    So very proud of Chloe though to work so well in such brutal conditions.

    Great job!! It's miserable around here. I just came in from working in the yard, and I'm drenched in sweat. I can only imagine how Chloe felt!!! Well done!
