Hemi in advertising, this time a walking billboard.

So last night was the Bissell Blocktail Party. Bissell Blocktail Party

It is an event to raise money for local animal shelters, promote adoption, spay and neuter, and things like that. It is a really big event. It takes place down town at a really fancy restaurant, Mangiamo. I have never been inside the restaurant, as too fancy for me. But still a great place. Anyway, there are all kinds of things donated by sponsors and stuff for auctions and all profits and everything goes to animal shelters. It's not a free event either, $65 just to step in. But dogs are welcome to come along as well and the place gets packed there was easily 300 people there with dogs.

Anyway, the training center where Hemi goes and does all his fun things has always been a sponsor and this year they had a new groomer that can do body painting on dogs. They asked me if Hemi would be a walking billboard for them at the party. I sat there Hemi throwing his toy at me like come on dad lets do something and was like Heck yeah. The crowd alone will wear him out and provide stimulation, great place to practice and as he sits there attacking my feet, I was like sure paint him up, put pretty flowers on him if you want.

He actually had a great time. So many dogs, so many people giving him attention. I also realized some things. People I had no idea who they were came up and said "Oh it's Hemi." When we arrived since our tickets were free, Hemi's name was on the VIP list. We walked up and the lady said Oh it's Hemi I know they are on the list, "excuse me sir but whats your name". So glad Hemi shares his fame with me. One of these days I am going to have to get on Facebook and see how famous Hemi is.

It did end up raining on us, and the wear of a great many play stances and walking around. Still looks good, but all came right out in the hose.

Oh and yes, those that remember Hemi's first year at camp and his love interest, the poodle there. Yeah he was smitten again. He has a thing for poodles.

I sure hope he got a lot of treats for that hard work BTW love that lady's art. I wish we had somebody that did that here, I'd have black spots put on Kain for Halloween and tell everyone he's a cow
