    Missing Daddy

Bacon's dad Jake is leaving today for a week long fishing trip with his friends (I wish I could take that much time off!!). The last time Jake left for a weekend, Bacon was a little stand-offish and almost seemed to be mad at me (not wanting to be with me, no snuggles) and acting was out more than usual. Now we are having an even longer trip. I hope that he does a little better this time, he really truly is a daddy's boy. To top it all off, this whole week I am taking a class through work, so I am working extra long days, so Bacon has to be cooped up more during the day. I am making time each night (weather permitting) after work to go to the beach and get some swimming time in for Mr. Bacon, I feel so bad having to leave him for so long during the day! Very stressful.

Awww, Bacon, it's hard when schedules are disrupted!

Thor will do the same thing for the first ~12-24 hours when one of us is gone - more concerned with watching the door and reacting to cars going down the street than being interested in cuddles and playtime. But then he does a complete 180 and gets super clingy to the person that is still home.

Bacon spent about half the night sleeping in our bed. He really wanted to be touching me. Usually he wants nothing to do with sleeping in the bed (its usually too hot for him!). It was pretty nice

    They are such love bugs!
DW says at 4:00-4:30 Mocha sits and looks out the front windows looking for me to come home.
When DW was traveling she came home on Thursday nights. About 10:00 he would start going to the front windows looking for momma to get home.
