    Treasure Of Moby Dog

    Aye Mates,
We had some concern about LEXIE "The Great White Lab", aka Moby Lab having some potential orthopedic issues. I sent her home with her owners on Thursday to visit an orthopedic veterinarian on Friday. Full physical exam and sedated for full series of x-ray images said no problems were evident. Yahooooooooo LEXIE.

Back today to resume gundog training, we got LEXIE swimming and she discovered "treasure" in one o' the ponds.

    LEXIE on the prowl.

    A dead quail found.

Let me introduce ye to me little friend.

A Lab pup, a bird, and water - a perfect combo!

So glad that LEXIE is healthy and we can now move forward in training.

    Cheers,

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

NO Barry. The vet just thinks she is just an awkward and still growing puppy. No issues were found during exam.

That's good to hear. I guess no problems with her blinking on ducks She's a pretty girl. I'll bet her owners were relieved that everything is OK too.

    Jack,
We were all relieved. She has been showing great promise. LEX quartered on and tracked, then flushed a chukar yesterday during training with her owner Scott looking on. Of course, Scott was elated.

One of those "Phew!" moments. Maybe she just overdid a little.

Amazing she found the bird under water. She's going to be one great hunter/retriever.

Wow! It's obvious the tittle for her as "The Great White Lab" is fit for her. She deserve it!
