    Archie's Going To Hate Me

Vet's office called, his blood work is perfect. Vet did say she really would like to be a better look in his mouth and check him ALL over for more of the lumps (idiopathic furunculosis/pyoderma) that may be brewing. So, next Wednesday, he gets the joy of no breakfast and having it done. Before that, I want to give him a good bath. He's not had his spring bath yet this year. Really am glad she is going to get a good look in his mouth.

He's one stinker trying to give the antibiotic. Although he does not chew his kibble, any treat he has to chomp down on. I'm just short of having to pry his mouth open and pop the pill down his throat; I will if I have to. Finally used some shaved beef roast (of course he wants the really good stuff), got him really excited about it, and 5 tries later got the job done.

Guess who's going to be on his s**t list. No wait, he eats that too, LOL

He will forgive you because you will stock up on some extra good yummies, the real roast beef, to give him after the sedative. Right? Almost kind of hope you find a tooth that needs fixing so it can be done and he can get eating again.

I think he'll forgive you. At least as long as the roast beef holds out!

Well, the dental is postponed due to his taking antibiotic. I just don't want him to have too many things going on at one time. Will reschedule in a couple of weeks. The sore on his leg is healing beautifully.

He is a stinker about taking the med. Finally ended up opening up the capsule, pouring in his kibble, a little warm water and top with a couple of teaspoonful of canned. He gobbles it down. Stinker.

Have you tried Velveeta cheese? Mocha swallow the piece whole without chewing. If fact we joke "Do you think he even tastes it?"
Archie will forgive with the proper peace offering of roast beef

He chews everything, PB, cream cheese, everything. Then he manages to spit out the pill and I have to get two down. He's a stinker that way.

Have you tried butter? That seems to work for me when all else fails.
