    Totally Tired Out

Not a good night's sleep last night, up at 3 am. Took a little nap but still felt out of sorts. Had a burst of energy after dinner and went out and prepped a new garden and planted 3 flats of flowers. This is the area under the fence that we keep free of weeds; easier to mow. Now there are moss roses on the outside of the fence and marigolds on the inside, across the entire front yard.

Then, with DHs help, took down two lilacs. One had gotten long and leggy, only about 3 blooms this spring and the other a Miss Kim lilac which split apart with the winter snows.

Took a shower and now ready to crash. Ah, after dessert!

You did all that after dinner? I can't imagine accomplishing all that after dinner. Planting the flowers, maybe. Taking down 2 bushes after that? Probably not. Great work! I hope you have a good sleep tonight!

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

Let's hope what Fran calls dinner we call lunch. That still sounds like a productive day. We wasted a lot of ours watching the neighbours' yard get dug up for a new septic tank and weeper line installation.

I have 2 kids and a puppy ... I can only imagine getting some time in the evening .between kids bath, dinner and puupy fees, poop and walk I am cooked.
Plus Saturday we leave on a 10 day camping trip,so getting the stocked and help the dw pack is another think if the kids or puppy sleep early.

When I was younger I did take my motorcycle for late evening and night rides to the beech .

Just be thankful it was not your yard.

WOW, if that is what you did after dinner, you really deserve a good, deep night sleep. Oh, I forgot the dessert- warm, fresh apple pie with a mound of vanilla ice cream should do the job.

We are but it probably will be our yard sometime as the houses and septic systems are the same age. Their house has always had more people though, so more strain on the system.
